On Tuesday, senior BJP leaders embarked on a statewide media blitz to champion the budget's "Vision Document" for 2047, while opposition figures launched scathing critiques, labeling the financial plan as deceptive and detrimental to public welfare.
BJP's Statewide Push for Budget Achievements and Future Targets
Led by State BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, a coalition of party stalwarts including office bearers like Satish Punia and Archana Gupta, alongside ministers such as Vipul Goel and Mahipal Dhanda, fanned out across districts. Their mission: to meticulously dissect the budget, highlighting the "achievements" of the triple-engine government and outlining ambitious targets for the next two years. Congress Counterattack: Accusations of Deception and Neglect
Simultaneously, the opposition mounted a robust challenge. Rajya Sabha MP and AICC general secretary Randeep Surjewala, alongside former MP Bijender Singh, lambasted the BJP administration. At the HPCC headquarters, Surjewala delivered a biting critique, stating, "Udhar ki Sarkar - Karze ki Betahasha Maar! Bujurgon aur Vidhwaon ki Pension par Padti Maar - Nirdayi hai Bhajpa Sarkar." Highlighting major infrastructure initiatives, Goel announced the approval of two transformative RRTS corridors:
- The 93-kilometre Delhi-Panipat corridor, with an investment of ₹32,327 crore.
- The 64-kilometre Delhi-Faridabad-Noida-Jewar Airport corridor, costing ₹3,573 crore.
These projects are poised to revolutionize regional transport, offering fast, safe, and modern connectivity. Specifically, Faridabad is set to benefit from enhanced links to key economic hubs in the National Capital Region and Jewar Airport, supported by road upgrades, flyovers, and the Gurugram-Faridabad Transit Link. Additionally, a smart upgrade is planned for 100 kilometres of roads across Faridabad city.
