Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini Addresses Rally in Nuh, Launches Development Projects

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, accompanied by Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, addressed a public rally in Nuh on Sunday. During the event, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 16 development projects with a total value of Rs 47.36 crore.

Praise for Mewat Region and Historical Significance

Saini praised the people of the Mewat district, describing them as "hardworking, self-respecting, and resilient." He emphasized the region's historical contributions, stating, "The soil of Mewat always upheld the traditions of courage, sacrifice, and dignity. From the First War of Independence in 1857 to the country's eventual freedom, the contribution of the people of this region remains etched in golden letters in history."

Details of Development Projects and Financial Allocations

The inaugurated projects included 11 completed initiatives costing Rs 21 crore and 5 new projects with a foundation stone laying worth Rs 25 crore. Saini highlighted that the overwhelming turnout at the rally reflects public trust in the BJP government's policies and welfare initiatives.

He assured that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring rapid and inclusive development of the region.

Comparative Development Spending in Sohna Constituency

Saini provided detailed figures on development in the Sohna Assembly constituency. Over the past 11 years, 62 chief minister announcements were made, with 49 completed and 13 in progress. Development works in Sohna saw an expenditure of Rs 1,515 crore during this period.

In contrast, only Rs 222 crore was spent during the 10-year tenure of the previous Congress government. Additionally, between 2014 and 2024, the Public Works Department allocated Rs 285 crore for Sohna, with Rs 5.70 crore spent since 2024 and projects worth Rs 407 crore in the pipeline.

Progress on Sankalp Patra–2024 and Upcoming Assembly Session

Referring to the Sankalp Patra–2024, Saini noted that the government fulfilled 60 out of 217 commitments within one year of the Assembly elections, with work underway on 157 others. He also announced that the Haryana Assembly Budget Session will commence on February 20.

Healthcare Initiatives and Achievements

Saini outlined key healthcare achievements, including the Ayushman Bharat–Chirayu Yojana, which provided free treatment worth Rs 4,126 crore to approximately 26 lakh patients. Free dialysis services were initiated in all government hospitals and medical colleges for kidney patients.

On February 11, Day Care Cancer Centres were inaugurated in 17 districts, bringing the total to 22 districts with improved access to cancer treatment.

Union Minister's Remarks and Infrastructure Focus

Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh expressed gratitude for the Rs 47 crore projects and emphasized the collaborative efforts between the central and state governments since 2014, particularly in infrastructure development.

He mentioned the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, stating its completion would benefit the Tauru area significantly. Singh also requested repairs to the KMP Expressway and sought development works for Tauru similar to those in Gurugram.

The rally underscored the BJP's ongoing efforts to expand its presence in minority-dominated areas of Mewat district, with a focus on development and public welfare.
