Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has taken strong action against a contractor responsible for delaying the installation of an electricity transformer in the Morni region. During a grievance redressal programme held at Government Polytechnic College in Morni, Saini directed the Electricity Department to register an FIR against the contractor and take strict disciplinary action against the negligent official involved.
Low-Voltage Issues Addressed
The Chief Minister responded to complaints about low-voltage problems in several villages of the Morni block, including Kudana Panchayat, Tikkar Hills, and Bhavnaul. He ordered officials to install new transformers where needed and to repair and strengthen existing power lines to ensure a stable electricity supply.
Infrastructure Development
Taking note of alleged irregularities in street construction work in Babarwali village under Kudana Panchayat, Saini called for a thorough investigation and instructed that the street construction be completed without further delay. He also addressed delays in the construction of the Samlotha–Jiaghat road (via Kudana Ghat) and the Bhayal–Dundal road, directing the Public Works Department to begin work immediately. An amount of approximately Rs 2.36 crore has been allocated through the Shivalik Development Board for these road projects.
Healthcare Upgrades
Responding to demands for better healthcare facilities, the Chief Minister ordered the expansion of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Morni into a multi-storeyed Community Health Centre (CHC). He stipulated that the proposed CHC be equipped with all essential healthcare services so that residents do not have to travel to Panchkula for medical treatment.
Water Supply and Other Issues
To address drinking water shortages, Saini directed the Public Health Engineering Department to lay high-capacity pipelines in Thapli and Matour Panchayats. He also instructed officials to prepare a detailed action plan for an uninterrupted water supply to the high-altitude village of Bhoj Jabyal. Additionally, he ordered the Electricity Department to provide a connection for a drinking water booster pump in Julu village under Dhrala Panchayat without delay.
Bridge Construction Demand
In response to a demand for a bridge over the river in Baswala village under Paonta Panchayat, which would facilitate movement of villagers and schoolchildren, the Chief Minister directed concerned officials to prepare a detailed proposal and submit it to the government expeditiously.
During the public hearing, Saini listened attentively to grievances related to electricity, drinking water, roads, healthcare, education, transport, and old-age pensions, and resolved complaints on the spot.
