Haryana Chief Minister Unveils Comprehensive Development Plan for Badshahpur
In a significant move towards urban and rural development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday announced a series of ambitious housing, infrastructure, and welfare measures in Badshahpur. The announcement came during a housing allocation program in Kakrola village, where keys were handed over to 2,709 beneficiaries, marking a step forward in the government's commitment to housing for all.
Housing Initiatives Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Saini revealed that over 23,154 houses will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the region. Additionally, 15,251 plots will be allotted in urban areas, addressing the growing demand for residential spaces. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing solutions and improve living standards for residents across Haryana.
Infrastructure Upgrades and New Projects
The Chief Minister outlined multiple infrastructure projects designed to enhance connectivity and public amenities in Badshahpur. Key announcements include:
- Upgradation of the Farrukhnagar-Gurgaon Road into a four-lane stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 365 crore.
- Widening of roads in New Gurgaon sectors up to 24 metres to ease traffic congestion.
- Construction of a community centre in Budhera village to foster social engagement.
- Installation of a water treatment plant in Tikli village to ensure clean drinking water.
- Sewerage works worth Rs 88 crore to improve sanitation and hygiene.
- New fire stations in Gurgaon, Manesar, and Farrukhnagar to enhance emergency response capabilities.
- Repair and maintenance of several roads to ensure smooth transportation.
- Development of a cremation ground in sectors 90 to 95 for community needs.
Saini emphasized that the focus is not merely on announcements but on ensuring time-bound implementation with visible impact. He stated, "The focus is not just on announcements but on ensuring time-bound implementation with visible impact."
Progress and Commitment to Development
Highlighting the area's development trajectory, the Chief Minister noted that projects worth over Rs 15,000 crore have been implemented in Badshahpur over the past decade, a substantial increase from less than Rs 1,000 crore in previous years. Of 81 announced projects, 60 have been completed, with the remainder in progress. "This reflects the government's commitment to turning promises into outcomes on the ground," he added, underscoring the administration's dedication to tangible results.
Environmental and Tourism Initiatives
In a bid to promote sustainability and tourism, Saini announced environmental projects, including a 200-acre 'Namo Van' project in the Aravali region. With a budget of Rs 26 crore, this initiative aims to boost green cover and attract tourists. Furthermore, a provision of Rs 100 crore has been allocated for the maintenance of parks and green belts, enhancing the region's ecological balance and recreational spaces.
Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
Saini reiterated Haryana's role in advancing the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, stating that the state is "playing a pivotal role in translating the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 into reality." The comprehensive development plan for Badshahpur aligns with this broader goal, focusing on holistic growth through housing, infrastructure, and environmental conservation.
