The case involves the daylight shooting of Jai Singh, also known as Dholia, on November 2, 2017, within the jurisdiction of the Hisar City police station.

Prosecution Details

According to the prosecution, a conspiracy was hatched earlier that day, after which the victim was lured to a liquor shop near Teliyan Pul and shot. Jai Singh sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died while being taken to the hospital.

Trial and Witnesses

During the trial, two key prosecution witnesses—complainant Sunil and eyewitness Rattan—turned hostile. However, the court relied on the testimony of Dharampal, the deceased's brother, along with medical and forensic evidence.

Forensic Evidence

The post-mortem and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports confirmed that the bullets recovered from the body matched the weapons seized from the accused. The nature of the injuries indicated a clear intent to kill. The court also noted that the crime was carried out in a crowded area in broad daylight, reflecting a coordinated and deliberate act.

Convictions and Acquittals

Those convicted are Ashok, Radhe Shyam, Deepak, Umed, Surender, Sunder, Praveen, Mahipal, and Krishan. Sher Singh and Amit were acquitted and given the benefit of doubt.
