Hubballi District Administration to Conduct Monthly Taluk Reviews for Development Programmes

In a significant move to enhance governance and public service delivery, Deputy Commissioner Snehal R announced that the district administration will visit all taluks at least once every month. This initiative aims to closely monitor and review the progress of various development programmes across the region.

Public Grievance Redressal and Administrative Reforms

Speaking after receiving public grievances at the tahasildar's office in Hubballi on Monday, Snehal emphasized the administration's commitment to resolving public issues promptly. She assured that action will be taken to provide quality education and make the administration more people-friendly. To achieve this, officials have been instructed to dispose of grievances within a short timeframe, with plans to strengthen the public grievance system at both taluk and village levels.

Comprehensive Plans for Drinking Water Management

Addressing critical infrastructure needs, Snehal revealed that an executive plan has been prepared to tackle drinking water challenges, particularly during the summer season. Preparations are underway to identify water sources in coordination with the gram panchayat, municipal council, and water supply department. The administration is taking steps to ensure that not only common people but also livestock do not face water shortages. Discussions will be held with Zilla Panchayat officials to assess the performance of clean drinking water units, with priority given to repairing and re-operating non-functional units.

Initiatives for Stray Dog Control and Public Welfare

In addition to water and education, the district administration is addressing public safety concerns. A comprehensive survey has been conducted to bring the problem of stray dogs under control. A detailed plan is ready to protect, vaccinate, and shift these dogs to suitable shelters, aiming to create a safer environment for residents.

During the grievance session, DC Snehal personally received and noted various complaints from the public, underscoring the administration's hands-on approach to governance. This multi-faceted strategy reflects a proactive effort to improve living conditions and administrative efficiency in Hubballi district.
