In the early hours of Monday, a sudden tyre burst led to a car accident in Hyderabad, resulting in two young girls sustaining minor injuries. The incident occurred near CVR Junction in Film Nagar, highlighting the dangers of unexpected vehicle failures on the road.
Details of the Accident
According to Banjara Hills inspector S Suhasan, the vehicle involved in the crash belonged to a second-hand car dealer named Mudassir. The car was reportedly given to his friends, Kausar and Tasleem, who were travelling in it at the time. The mishap took place around 5:20 am when the car suffered a tyre burst near the junction.
The sudden tyre failure caused Kausar, who was driving, to lose control of the vehicle. This led to the car ramming into the road median with significant force. The impact caused substantial damage to the front portion of the car, and the vehicle partially mounted onto the divider after the collision.
Injuries and Safety Measures
Despite the severity of the crash, both occupants escaped with only minor injuries. This was largely due to the deployment of airbags upon impact, which played a crucial role in preventing more serious harm. The girls were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment and were later discharged, indicating no major health concerns.
Traffic Disruption and Police Response
The damaged car came to a halt across the other side of the carriageway, causing a brief disruption to traffic movement in the area. Police officials quickly responded to the scene, managing to remove the vehicle and clear the road, thereby restoring normal traffic flow.
