Details of the Midnight Attack
According to police reports and the victim's account, the incident occurred around midnight when a group arrived at the drive-in and demanded a cool water bottle. The victim, identified as Prabhas, informed them that only normal water was available. This refusal triggered an immediate and aggressive response from the group.
The attackers reportedly began abusing Prabhas with filthy language, before dragging him outside the establishment. A group of six to seven individuals then proceeded to assault him physically. During the attack, they also broke his mobile phone and took away his bike keys, compounding the victim's distress.

One of the most concerning aspects of this incident involves the alleged citation of a political connection by the attackers. According to the victim's complaint, one of the assailants, identified as Bhargav Reddy, threatened Prabhas by claiming that his brother Shashidhar Reddy—a local Congress leader—would shut down the drive-in in retaliation.
"They dragged me outside and around six to seven people attacked me," the victim stated in his complaint. "One of them, Bhargav Reddy, threatened me, saying his brother Shashidhar Reddy, a local Congress leader, would shut down the drive-in. I sustained serious injuries to my head and stomach."
Police Investigation Underway
The LB Nagar Police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter. CCTV footage from the drive-in has been obtained, which shows the victim sustaining serious bleeding injuries during the assault.
A police official confirmed, "This incident happened at midnight. The victim named Prabhas filed a complaint about the matter, and we are investigating it." The authorities are examining all evidence, including the CCTV footage and witness statements, to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Separate Tragic Incident in Rangareddy District
In a unrelated but equally disturbing development, a separate violent incident occurred in the Amangal Mandal of Rangareddy district. A man allegedly killed his wife and son and stabbed his daughter following an internal family dispute on Monday night.
Police reports indicate that the man used a knife to attack his family members. While the wife and son succumbed to their injuries, the daughter is currently undergoing medical treatment for her stab wounds. This tragic event highlights ongoing concerns about domestic violence in the region.
