HYDRAA Conducts Field Inspections in Sangareddy District to Address Public Complaints

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) carried out comprehensive field inspections on Wednesday in various parts of Sangareddy district, responding to grievances submitted through the Prajavani platform. The focus of these inspections centered on critical issues such as illegal encroachments and deficiencies in local infrastructure, aiming to ensure proper urban planning and public safety.

Anand Nagar Layout Review in Patancheru Mandal

At the Anand Nagar layout located in Patighanapur village within Patancheru mandal, officials meticulously reviewed complaints concerning alleged encroachments on roads, parks, and land designated for public use. This layout, originally approved in 1980 and spanning an extensive area of 92 acres with 1,109 plots, has seen some plots regularized under the layout regularization scheme (LRS). During the inspection, residents voiced concerns that the layout boundaries had been unlawfully altered and inaccurately recorded as agricultural land. Additionally, there were serious allegations regarding the misuse of the Dharani portal to create fraudulent passbooks. Several plot owners actively participated in the session, articulating their issues and seeking resolution from the authorities.

AV Ranganath, the commissioner of HYDRAA, emphasized that officials would thoroughly verify the layout details. He stated, "We will identify public spaces such as roads and parks as per official records and take necessary action where required to address any discrepancies or violations."

Beeramguda Layout Inspection in Ameenpur

In Beeramguda of Ameenpur, the inspection focused on a complaint filed by the Industrial Employees' Cooperative House Building Society, which highlighted encroachments in their area. This layout, developed in 1982 across a vast 180 acres with approximately 1,650 plots, is reportedly being fragmented and sold in smaller, unauthorized portions. Commissioner Ranganath addressed the situation by noting, "Steps should be taken to prevent further encroachments, and government land must be secured to maintain integrity." He reassured existing residents that they need not be unduly concerned, as the agency's actions are aimed at protecting lawful interests and preventing future violations.

Shambunikunta Lake Examination for Flooding Issues

The inspection also extended to Shambunikunta lake, where residents reported persistent flooding problems. Officials were directed to investigate blocked drainage outlets and implement corrective measures. This includes restoring proper stormwater flow and examining any potential violations that may be contributing to the flooding. The proactive approach underscores HYDRAA's commitment to addressing environmental and infrastructural challenges that impact community well-being.

These field inspections by HYDRAA highlight the agency's dedication to responsive governance and urban management in Hyderabad's surrounding regions. By tackling encroachments and infrastructure flaws, the initiative seeks to enhance public spaces, ensure legal compliance, and improve the quality of life for residents in Sangareddy district.
