INLD Ramps Up Efforts for Narwana Rally to Challenge JJP's Influence
The Indian National Lokdal (INLD) has significantly escalated its organizational activities in anticipation of a large-scale public rally scheduled for March 23 in Narwana, Haryana. This strategic move is designed to directly counter the momentum generated by the Jananayak Janata Party (JJP), which recently conducted a well-attended birthday rally for its leader Ajay Chautala in Hansi on March 13.
Leadership Meetings Mobilize Youth and Party Workers
Under the guidance of Sirsa in-charge and former MLA Om Prakash Gora, INLD leaders held crucial meetings on Sunday with youth activists and office-bearers from the Ellenabad, Rania, and Sirsa constituencies. The primary objective of these gatherings was to ensure robust participation in the upcoming Shaheedi Diwas conference, which is being organized under the Youth INLD banner.
During the sessions, Gora passionately appealed to young supporters to actively engage in the Narwana event. He emphasized the historical contributions of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal and ex-Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, highlighting their welfare initiatives and employment schemes. In a pointed critique, Gora contrasted these achievements with what he described as the unfulfilled promises of the BJP, particularly regarding the annual creation of two crore jobs.
Promises of Employment and Unemployment Allowance
Gora further elaborated on INLD's future governance plans, assuring that under an INLD-led government, all eligible youths would be provided with employment opportunities. For those who remain without jobs, the party pledges to introduce an unemployment allowance of Rs 21,000 per month. This announcement is part of a broader effort to address youth concerns and garner support ahead of the rally.
The conference will feature INLD national president Abhay Singh Chautala as the chief speaker, who is expected to outline the party's vision for youth representation and recognition in governance. Additionally, the event will include tributes to the nation's martyrs, with young participants encouraged to pledge allegiance to their ideals.
Annual Programs and Broader Political Strategy
Looking beyond the immediate rally, Gora revealed that INLD plans to institutionalize three major annual events: Shaheedi Diwas on March 23, Struggle Day on the death anniversary of former CM Om Prakash Chautala, and Respect Day for Chaudhary Devi Lal on September 25. These programs aim to strengthen party cohesion and public outreach throughout the year.
The preparatory meeting was jointly chaired by district president Jasbir Singh Jassa and Youth INLD district president Bhagwan Kotli, with attendance from numerous senior leaders, underscoring the party's collective effort to make the Narwana rally a success. As political tensions rise in Haryana, this event marks a critical juncture in INLD's campaign to reclaim its prominence and challenge the growing influence of JJP in the region.
