The accused, identified as Mohammed Shaqeel (31), was seen in the video asking the woman tourist to repeat foul words in Hindi after him. Unaware of the meaning, the tourist innocently repeated the words, making the act both deceptive and offensive, as described by an investigating officer.

Manju Kumari, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the tourist police station, confirmed the arrest, stating, "This is inappropriate behaviour involving a foreign woman tourist. The accused was arrested Monday after we reviewed the evidence and identified him from the viral video." She emphasized that such actions tarnish the city's reputation and will not be tolerated.
