Somiya Meena, the cafe owner, lodged an FIR at the Amer police station on Saturday, a day after a scuffle broke out between women constables from the JMC's vigilance team and herself at her cafe in the Maota area. Meena alleges that the civic officials arrived at her establishment on Friday without prior notice and attempted to remove items forcefully, leading to the altercation.
She recounted a similar incident from 2025, where officials seized a gas cylinder from her cafe. In that case, the JMC later apologized in writing and returned the items, highlighting a pattern of behavior that Meena claims is recurring.

According to Meena, tensions had been building for several days prior to the scuffle. She stated that she had objected to officials allegedly misbehaving with a differently abled woman who runs a cart near the Amer Fort, which she believes triggered the subsequent harassment.
Meena further alleged that she was detained under Section 151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and produced before the district collector before being released. She accuses the JMC officials of using excessive force and engaging in harassment, demanding the suspension of those involved in the incident.

She emphasized her commitment to fighting for her rights, stating, "If no action will be taken by Monday, we will continue to fight for our rights and will not back down."
