Bharatiya Janata Party's national president and Union Health Minister, Jagat Prakash Nadda, touched down in the holy town of Deoghar, Jharkhand, on Friday evening, marking the start of a significant organisational visit. He arrived via a chartered flight around 8 pm, setting the stage for a packed schedule of religious, political, and administrative engagements on Saturday.
A Day of Spiritual and Political Engagements
The core of Nadda's Saturday agenda revolves around the sacred Baba Baidyanath Temple. He is scheduled to perform a puja at the temple at 10 am, where he will receive a formal welcome from the Panda Dharmarakshini Sabha, the influential body of local priests. In a notable gesture, Nadda will also honour the Sardar Panda, Gulab Nand Jha, the high priest of the Babadham temple, during the event. This visit underscores the party's continued engagement with key religious and community figures in the region.
Following the temple rituals, the BJP chief will participate in the RSS centenary public relations programme at the temple premises. His arrival at Tower Chowk will also see welcomes from various social organisations, highlighting the broad-based nature of his visit.
Strengthening Party Infrastructure and Morale
Post his spiritual visit, Nadda will shift focus to bolstering the party's grassroots machinery. He is set to inaugurate the new BJP office in Deoghar. Subsequently, he will address a gathering of booth-level workers from the Santhal Pargana region and twelve surrounding districts at a grand tent erected near the office. In a move showcasing digital outreach, he will also inaugurate BJP offices in Gumla district through an online ceremony.
Ganesh Mishra, a state BJP secretary, expressed that the national president's presence has ignited great enthusiasm among the party cadre. He emphasised that Nadda's visit is purely organisational and is not connected to any political speculations currently circulating.
Health Ministry Outreach and Departure
Aligning with his portfolio as the Union Health Minister, Nadda's itinerary includes a crucial visit to AIIMS, Deoghar, on Saturday evening. There, he will hold a dialogue with doctors, faculty members, and new MBBS students, focusing on the institution's functioning and future prospects. This engagement highlights the government's attention to premier healthcare institutes across the country.
Concluding his whirlwind tour, Nadda is scheduled to depart for New Delhi on Saturday evening. His visit encapsulates a blend of cultural respect, political consolidation, and administrative review, reflecting the multifaceted role of a senior national leader.
