The accident took place in the Rura police station area when the friends were on their way back from attending the wedding of a friend's sister. According to police reports, the bike was being ridden by Anurag, aged 32, with Rupendra, 30, and Sumit, 26, as pillion riders. The collision with the dumper was severe and immediate in its impact.

Rupendra died on the spot at the scene of the accident, while Anurag was rushed to Hallet Hospital in a critical state. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries. The third friend, Sumit, survived but with serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital in Kanpur. His condition remains critical as doctors monitor his recovery.

Station House Officer Sudhir Bhardwaj confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway. A search operation has been launched to locate the dumper driver, who fled the scene following the collision.
