A tragic road accident occurred late Saturday evening on the Kanpur-Rasulabad route in Kanpur Dehat when a speeding loader collided head-on with an auto, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving eight auto passengers seriously injured.

Incident Details

According to eyewitness Sonam (35), who lost her husband and daughter in the accident, the loader was coming from Kanpur direction at high speed and hit the auto head-on, approximately 100 metres away from a guest house near Kahinjari electricity sub-station. The impact was severe, causing critical injuries to multiple passengers.

Response and Medical Aid

Police were alerted by passersby and immediately admitted the injured to CHC Rasulabad. A doctor at the facility declared a father and daughter dead upon arrival. Five of the critically injured were referred to Akbarbur Medical College after receiving initial treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, tehsildar Santosh Kumar Singh, Naib tehsildar Shivdarshan Singh, CO Alok Kumar, and the station house officer reached CHC and inquired about the condition of the injured.

Legal Proceedings

Station house officer S.N. Singh stated that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Both the loader and the auto have been taken into custody. The loader driver has also been detained and is being questioned, while the injured auto driver is receiving treatment at a private hospital. Singh added, "An FIR will be registered and action taken upon a written complaint."

The authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the collision, and further legal action will follow based on the complaint and evidence gathered.
