When questioned about recent social media exchanges between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar, Jarkiholi dismissed them as normal political behavior. He stated that such interactions were common in all political parties and shouldn't be interpreted as signs of serious discord within the ruling party.

The minister also responded to MP Jagadish Shettar's call for President's Rule in Karnataka, noting that such a move required specific constitutional conditions that weren't met in the current situation. Regarding MLA Duryodhan Aihole's remark suggesting that Jarkiholi himself should become chief minister, he acknowledged that Ahinda leaders have long aspired to see one of their own community members in the top post, though he didn't directly comment on his personal ambitions.
