Mangaluru: In a powerful address that resonated with constitutional principles, Dakshina Kannada district minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Saturday firmly stated that attempts to divide Indian society along linguistic or caste lines are completely unacceptable. Speaking at a significant cultural event, Rao emphasized that the Indian Constitution was meticulously crafted to uphold equality and inclusiveness for every citizen, regardless of background.
Honoring Arebhashe Language Contributors
The minister was speaking after conferring prestigious Karnataka Arebhashe Samskruthi Mathu Sahitya Academy honorary awards to three distinguished individuals for their exceptional contributions to the growth and preservation of the Arebhashe language and culture. The award recipients included Puttur Anantharaja Gowda for his work in research and literature, Lokeshwari Vinayachandra for organization and social service, and Katrathana Lalitha Ayyanna for her contributions to Arebhashe literature.
