Karnataka Ministers' Explosive Claims About Delhi Bomb Blast

Two prominent Karnataka Congress leaders have ignited a major political firestorm by suggesting a potential BJP connection to the recent suicide bombing in Delhi that claimed 13 lives. Housing Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's economic adviser Basavaraj Rayareddi made controversial statements questioning the timing of the tragic incident.

Questioning the Timing

Basavaraj Rayareddi, speaking in Koppal, expressed strong doubts about the blast's occurrence just one day before polling in Bihar. "There is a certain amount of doubt behind the timing of the bomb blast," Rayareddi stated. He further elaborated that "This doubt has risen because it is said BJP and PM Modi can go to any extent for power."

Echoing similar suspicions, Housing Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, who met AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in Bengaluru, emphasized the curious timing. "What is surprising is that the blast happened a day before elections," Khan noted, adding that media outlets had also questioned the timing.

The minister made even more direct allegations, stating "I too have heard that there are some links between the bombers and politicians." He concluded with a strong warning: "If this is true, then whoever is using the bombing for political gains, neither he nor his family shall fare well in life."

Congress Leadership Weighs In

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed the issue on Tuesday, calling for a thorough investigation to determine why the incident occurred precisely one day before the Bihar polls. On social media platform 'X', he raised a significant question: "What is the reason for terrorist attacks in the country during elections?"

AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge demanded a comprehensive probe by the Central government. He expressed concern that "In the national capital, despite having so many intelligence and investigation agencies, the Centre failed in ascertaining this dastardly attack." Kharge confirmed that Congress would raise the matter during the winter session of Parliament starting December 1.

In a significant clarification, Minister Khan explicitly rejected any connection between Islam and terrorism, asserting "Nowhere in Islam does it say to indulge in terrorism. They are not Muslims."

BJP's Strong Condemnation

The Bharatiya Janata Party reacted sharply to the allegations. BJP state president B Y Vijayendra condemned the remarks, labeling Congress members as "irresponsible and insensitive" and accused them of indulging in "low-level politics."

BJP MLC CT Ravi went further, accusing Congress of politicizing a national tragedy. He posed a challenging question: "The blast may prove politically beneficial for Congress. Does it mean it should have happened after the elections?"

The controversy has intensified political tensions between the ruling Congress in Karnataka and the opposition BJP, with both parties taking strong positions on the sensitive matter of national security and political responsibility.
