Kerala Cabinet Ministers Get District Responsibilities

The General Administration (Coordination) Department of the Kerala government has issued an official order assigning district-wise responsibilities to members of the state cabinet. This move aims to facilitate better district-level coordination and oversee development activities across the state.

District Allocations for Ministers

Transport Minister C P John has been given the charge of Thiruvananthapuram district. Minister Shibu Baby John will oversee Kollam district, while Minister P C Vishnunath has been assigned Pathanamthitta district. The other district allocations are as follows:

  • Mons Joseph – Kottayam
  • Anoop Jacob – Idukki
  • Roji M John – Ernakulam
  • O J Jeneesh – Thrissur
  • N Shamsuddeen – Palakkad
  • P K Basheer – Malappuram
  • A P Anil Kumar – Kozhikode
  • T Siddique – Wayanad
  • Sunny Joseph – Kannur
  • K M Shaji – Kasaragod

Role and Responsibilities

Each minister will be responsible for coordinating government programmes and monitoring the implementation of development projects in their respective districts. This initiative is expected to enhance the efficiency of project execution and ensure that developmental goals are met in a timely manner across all regions of Kerala.
