The General Administration Department (GAD) issued formal orders accepting resignation requests from CPM leader and chief minister's political secretary P Sasi, CM's private secretary and former Kozhikode MLA A Pradeep Kumar, and Vijayan's long-serving personal assistant V M Suneesh.

The simultaneous departure of these key figures at such a politically sensitive juncture has been viewed as extraordinary within both political and bureaucratic circles. Conventionally, members of a chief minister's personal staff continue in their roles until the completion of the government's full tenure. P Sasi, who was known for taking several crucial decisions, particularly regarding police matters, has been at the center of controversies recently. Serious allegations raised against him by former Nilambur MLA P V Anvar had placed him under significant scrutiny.
