Kerala Congress (M) chairman Jose K Mani stated on Sunday that the people's mandate in the Pala municipality was in favor of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), as the front secured a higher number of seats. He emphasized that the KC (M) itself holds 10 seats in the municipality. However, he noted that there is no interest from the party to form an independent front in this municipality, which is why they have not formed alliances to govern the local body.
No UDF Governance
Mani clarified that he does not consider the United Democratic Front (UDF) as the governing entity in the municipality. Instead, he described it as an independent front that is currently governing the local body. He added that any issues faced by this front are internal matters. Furthermore, he stated that neither the LDF nor the KC (M) is willing to make any deals with that independent front.
Political Stand
The remarks come amid ongoing political discussions in the region regarding the control of the Pala municipality. Mani's statements underscore the KC (M)'s position of not aligning with the independent front, despite holding a significant number of seats.
