Birthday Celebration Turns Chaotic in Patna
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's 36th birthday celebration in Patna took an unexpected turn on Sunday when a carefully planned event descended into chaos. The young politician, who is the son of party chief Lalu Prasad, found his festivities disrupted by an enthusiastic group of children who rushed toward his 36-pound birthday cake immediately after it was cut.
Viral Video Captures Cake Chaos
The incident was captured in a video that quickly spread across social media platforms, shared originally by Instagram handle @comedyculture.in. The footage shows multiple children pushing each other to grab pieces of the massive cake, with some playing with the dessert and throwing it at one another. The entire cake was demolished within seconds as laughter and excitement filled the air at the RJD's state headquarters in Patna.
According to reports, Tejashwi Yadav had a private celebration with his family on Saturday night where he reportedly cut another cake with them. The public celebration on Sunday was intended to be a more formal affair but turned disorderly when the children present overwhelmed the cake table.
Social Media Backlash and Political Context
The viral clip prompted significant criticism on social media platforms, with many users expressing disappointment at the scene. One user commented, "This is what Lalu ji gave to Bihar in the last 15 years," while another wrote, "Bihar is not scared of challenges but these idiots." A third user pointed to what they perceived as poor behavior, simply stating, "Genz civic sense."
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended birthday wishes to Tejashwi Yadav through a social media post that included a photo from their Voter Adhikar Yatra. Rahul Gandhi wrote in Hindi, "Very happy birthday wishes to you @yadavtejashwi ji! May you remain happy and healthy – we will definitely bring about change, employment, equality, and progress for the people of Bihar."
The incident comes at a politically sensitive time for Bihar, with the second phase of state Assembly elections scheduled for November 11, following the first phase on November 6. Election results are expected to be announced on November 14, adding significance to public appearances and events involving major political figures like Tejashwi Yadav.
