Prashant Kishor Asserts Nitish Kumar's Rajya Sabha Shift Was 'Predetermined'

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, during a visit to Buxar on Sunday, strongly criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to move to the Rajya Sabha, labeling it as "predetermined." Kishor emphasized that his party has consistently argued that the current Bihar government never secured a legitimate mandate from the people.

Allegations of a Manufactured Mandate

Kishor elaborated on his stance, stating, "We have said from the beginning that this government never received a genuine mandate. It was a manufactured mandate, not Nitish Kumar’s." He made these remarks after arriving in Buxar as part of Jan Suraaj's 'Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan,' where he convened a meeting with senior leaders and organizational workers to discuss the party's strategy and future plans.

Warning of Remote Control from Gujarat

In a sharp critique of the ruling alliance, Kishor suggested that Bihar might soon have a chief minister whose "remote control would be in Gujarat." This comment appears to be a veiled reference to potential external influences on state governance, hinting at broader political dynamics at play in the region.

Jan Suraaj's Commitment to Grassroots Politics

Regarding Jan Suraaj's future approach, Kishor affirmed that the people have entrusted them to remain actively engaged with the public. "We will continue to do politics on the streets. Whenever people face injustice or the government acts unfairly, we will raise our voice strongly," he declared. He highlighted that following the election results, Jan Suraaj leaders observed a one-day fast at Gandhi Bhitiharwa Ashram in West Champaran, during which they gave the newly formed government six months to fulfill its promises.

Expanding Outreach Through 'Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan'

Kishor detailed that under the 'Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan,' party workers will engage in door-to-door campaigns to directly present their views to the public. He is personally visiting every district to reorganize the party structure, ensuring the campaign can be executed effectively over the next five years. This initiative aims to strengthen grassroots connections and amplify the party's presence across Bihar.

Kishor's statements underscore ongoing political tensions in Bihar, with Jan Suraaj positioning itself as a vocal opposition force challenging the legitimacy and actions of the current administration.
