In a significant step towards grassroots governance, the 146th edition of the public outreach initiative 'Aapka Vidhayak – Aapke Dwaar' was successfully conducted in Lucknow's Ashrafnagar area on Sunday. The program, spearheaded by Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh, aims to bridge the gap between citizens and government welfare schemes by ensuring their doorstep delivery.
Addressing Public Grievances at the Doorstep
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with hundreds of local residents actively participating. They brought forth a range of issues affecting their daily lives for the MLA's attention. The primary concerns highlighted by the community included malfunctioning streetlights, pending applications under the PM Awas Yojana, drainage problems, and the need for urgent road repairs.
Other significant matters raised were related to the issuance of Ayushman health cards and delays in old-age pension disbursals. During the session, a total of 23 formal complaints and suggestions were officially registered by the MLA's team. Demonstrating a commitment to prompt action, three of these issues were resolved on the spot, providing immediate relief to the concerned citizens.
Celebrating Academic Excellence and Promoting Sports
Beyond grievance redressal, the event also served as a platform to celebrate and motivate young talent. As part of the 'Gaon ki Shaan' (Pride of the Village) program, four high-achieving students from the locality were honored for their outstanding performance in the recent Board examinations.
The achievers felicitated were:
- Prashant Verma, who scored an impressive 96.5%
- Sadhana Rawat, with a score of 80%
- Shlok Kashyap, who secured 73%
- Amardeep, with a score of 69%
In recognition of their hard work, each student was awarded a bicycle, a wristwatch, and a certificate of appreciation.
To further encourage a culture of fitness and teamwork among the youth, MLA Rajeshwar Singh made a major announcement. He declared the formation of the 160th Boys Youth Club and the 95th Girls Youth Club in the constituency. These clubs are expected to provide a structured platform for sporting activities and holistic development.
A Sustained Model of Public Engagement
The successful conclusion of the 146th camp underscores the sustained efforts of MLA Rajeshwar Singh in making governance more accessible and responsive. The 'Aapka Vidhayak – Aapke Dwaar' model has proven effective in not only solving immediate civic problems but also in fostering community spirit by rewarding academic excellence and promoting sports. This initiative sets a notable example for direct public-representative engagement in Uttar Pradesh's political landscape.
