Lucknow Teenager Fatally Injured in High-Speed Bike Stunt Tragedy
A tragic accident near Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow has claimed the life of a 17-year-old Class XII student, highlighting the grave dangers of reckless driving and high-speed stunts on city roads. The incident occurred on Sunday morning in the Gomti Nagar Extension area, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Details of the Fatal Collision
According to police reports, the accident unfolded when two youths were allegedly engaged in a high-speed race on a Bullet motorcycle and a Kawasaki bike. During this dangerous stunt near Gate No. 5 of the park, a scooter suddenly appeared in front of them, leading to a catastrophic chain of events.
The Bullet motorcycle, ridden by the victim, first collided with the scooter and then violently rammed into a road divider. The impact was so severe that the rider suffered critical head injuries after striking the divider directly.
Victim Identified as Promising Student
The deceased has been identified as Naitik Kumar, a 17-year-old resident of Vishesh Khand in Gomti Nagar Extension. Naitik was a Class 12 student with his whole future ahead of him. His father, Ram Ikbal, works as an engineer in the electricity department, adding to the family's profound grief.
Following the collision, Naitik's friend who was riding the Kawasaki bike immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. Despite emergency medical attention, doctors declared Naitik dead during treatment, unable to save him from the severe head trauma.
Other Injuries and Evidence Collection
Two other youths traveling with Naitik, identified as Aditya Srivastava and Krishna Singh, also sustained injuries in the accident. Fortunately, both received medical treatment and were discharged from the hospital, escaping with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police investigation has revealed that the entire incident was captured on a camera mounted on the Kawasaki bike, providing crucial visual evidence. Additionally, one of Naitik's friends posted a video on social media with the heartbreaking message: "Everything ended in a moment."
Police Investigation and Family Response
Gomti Nagar Extension Station House Officer Sudhir Awasthi confirmed that CCTV footage from the area is being thoroughly examined to determine the exact cause and sequence of events leading to the fatal accident. The police have informed the victim's family and taken the body into custody as part of standard procedures.
In a poignant development, the family refused to allow a post-mortem examination of Naitik's body. After completing all necessary legal formalities, authorities handed over the body to the grieving family for final rites.
