According to preliminary reports, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll five to six times on the road before plummeting into a nearby drain. Praveen, the son of Bidrupane Somanna from Kattemadu village, was ejected from the car during the violent rollover. He sustained severe and fatal injuries, leading to his immediate death at the scene.
The rest of the occupants, who were traveling with Praveen, managed to escape with injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at the district hospital in Madikeri. Their conditions are reported to be stable, but they are undergoing necessary care following the traumatic event.
