UP Deputy CM Denies LPG Shortage, Accuses Opposition of Spreading Rumors

In a strong rebuttal to allegations of LPG scarcity in Uttar Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday categorically stated that there is no shortage of cooking gas in the state. He launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of engaging in what he termed "malicious propaganda" designed to create confusion and unrest among the citizens.

Maurya Targets SP and Congress Leadership

Maurya did not mince words when he alleged that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are actively working to vitiate the political atmosphere through deliberate rumour-mongering. "The public is wise and will teach them a fitting lesson in due time," he asserted, expressing confidence in the electorate's discernment.

Responding specifically to Yadav's recent statements highlighting an LPG crisis, Maurya made a pointed remark questioning the opposition leader's motives. "When such baseless claims are made, one's patriotism certainly comes under suspicion," he stated, linking the issue to national sentiment.

Confident Predictions for 2027 Assembly Polls

Looking ahead to the next state elections, the deputy chief minister painted a picture of overwhelming success for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He predicted a complete rout for the Samajwadi Party in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls and issued a rallying cry to BJP workers.

"Our dedicated party workers must commit themselves fully to the campaign," Maurya urged. "We must ensure that the lotus symbol blooms vibrantly across all twelve assembly seats in Prayagraj come 2027." This statement underscores the party's ambitious target for the politically significant region.

Comments on West Bengal's Political Climate

As the Election Commission announced the poll schedule for West Bengal, Maurya shared his analysis of the unfolding political scenario there. He expressed a firm belief that the Trinamool Congress is on the verge of being ousted from power in the eastern state.

"A favourable wave is building across the nation in support of the BJP, and this is causing visible panic within the TMC ranks," he observed. Maurya confidently stated that the BJP is poised to take office in West Bengal, indicating the party's expanding national ambitions.

BJP Celebrates with Basantotsav Festival

Meanwhile, in a lighter political-cultural event, the BJP leadership hosted a vibrant ‘Basantotsav’ or spring festival at Parade Ground in Prayagraj. The celebration featured the unique ‘Phoolon ki Holi’ where participants played Holi with fragrant flowers instead of colors, creating a scented and joyous atmosphere.

The event was graced by notable performances that had the crowd thoroughly engaged:

  • Playback singer Kailash Kher mesmerized attendees with his soulful tunes, getting the audience to groove along.
  • BJP MP and popular Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari captivated the crowd with his musical numbers and witty remarks, adding a personal political touch to the entertainment.
  • Folk singer Tripti Shakya earned multiple rounds of applause for her powerful renditions of devotional songs (bhajans), connecting with the cultural sentiments of the attendees.

This blend of political messaging and cultural celebration highlights the BJP's multifaceted approach to public engagement as it prepares for upcoming electoral battles on multiple fronts.
