Bengaluru: An eight-year-old boy who went missing from his home while playing on the roadside was safely reunited with his family, thanks to the swift action of the Hoysala patrol police.

Incident Details

On the night of May 26, the police control room received a call reporting a boy spotted near gate no. 2 of MS Ramaiah College. The child was found crying and informed the Hoysala patrol police that he lived in Mathikere. However, he could not recall his exact home address or his mother's mobile number.

Police Response

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Narasimhamurthy and Head Constable Naveen Kumar, both Hoysala staffers, immediately comforted the boy by offering him chocolates and calming him down. They then began a systematic search in the Mathikere area, approaching residents, shop owners, and other locals to inquire if they recognized the child.

After persistent efforts, one individual identified the boy and provided his mother's contact number. Narasimhamurthy promptly called her, and she responded. Within one hour, the child was reunited with his family, a senior police officer confirmed.

The timely intervention and compassionate approach of the police personnel ensured the safe return of the child, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in such situations.
