Munger Couple's Valentine's Week Video Triggers Major Controversy
A video from Valentine's Week featuring a couple from Munger district in Bihar has gone massively viral on social media, sparking significant controversy and legal scrutiny. The clip, which appears to have been recorded on Rose Day, February 7, shows the woman presenting her husband with a rose and then offering him a glass of liquor.
Viral Content and Subsequent Deletion
The original video was shared widely on a popular social media platform, where it quickly amassed millions of views before being deleted due to the backlash. However, the controversy did not end there. Shortly after the first video was removed, another clip surfaced online showing the same woman holding a licensed pistol while lip-syncing to a Bhojpuri song.
Police Complaint and Identification
In response to the viral content, a formal complaint has been registered against the couple as well as the holder of the licensed pistol. Munger Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood confirmed the details, identifying the individuals as Rahul Kumar and Kanchan Kumari, residents of the Kasim Bazar police station area.
Rahul Kumar is described as a local businessman, while his wife Kanchan Kumari is a social media influencer with approximately 299,000 followers on Instagram. She is known for frequently posting content where she lip-syncs and dances to Bhojpuri songs, and she also owns a beauty parlour.
Details of the Controversial Video
According to police statements, the video recorded on February 7 depicts Kanchan presenting a rose to her husband Rahul. She is then seen handing him a glass along with a bottle of liquor. The clip also shows Kanchan playfully slapping Rahul on the cheek, with him sitting and smiling in response to her gestures.
Legal Action Initiated
Authorities have stated that further legal action is being initiated based on the viral content. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly, considering the implications of both the liquor offering and the subsequent pistol video. The case highlights the growing intersection of social media influence and legal boundaries in India.
The incident has drawn widespread attention, raising questions about content creation, public morality, and the enforcement of laws in the digital age. As the investigation proceeds, more details are expected to emerge regarding the charges and potential consequences for the couple involved.
