BJP corporator Pradip Pohane highlighted the alarming deterioration of the situation, stating, "Previously, the unbearable stench primarily affected residents during evening hours. Now, the problem has intensified to the point where people endure this pollution continuously throughout day and night. Many cannot even open their windows for ventilation." Pohane directly accused municipal authorities of deliberately ignoring repeated complaints from affected communities over several months.

Senior BJP corporator and legal professional Sanjay Balpande elevated the discussion beyond administrative failure, alleging violation of judicial directives. "This situation represents not merely administrative negligence but also contempt of court," Balpande asserted. Corporator Jitendra Kukde emphasized the human scale of the crisis, noting approximately 1,700 households surrounding the dumping yard continue to suffer from severe air pollution. Kukde issued a stark warning about impending monsoon dangers: "The approaching rainy season poses serious health threats as rainwater will inevitably carry contaminated waste and garbage directly into residential areas, potentially creating public health emergencies."
