In response to growing concerns regarding the availability of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, the district administration in Nagpur has taken decisive action by forming a total of 18 specialized monitoring teams. This strategic move aims to guarantee a smooth and uninterrupted supply of LPG across both urban and rural regions, effectively preventing instances of panic buying among consumers.
Targeted Inspections to Curb Commercial Misuse
The newly established teams have been tasked with conducting rigorous inspections at various hotels and restaurants throughout the district. A primary objective of these inspections is to curb the illegal hoarding of LPG cylinders and to stop the unauthorized misuse of domestic cylinders for commercial purposes. For the rural areas, 14 monitoring teams have been constituted, with one team assigned to each of the 13 talukas and an additional team operating at the district level to oversee coordination.
