Nitish Kumar Reviews Patna Road, Drainage & Park Projects

Bihar CM Conducts Detailed Review of Patna's Infrastructure Development

Patna witnessed significant administrative activity on Thursday as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally inspected the progress of multiple infrastructure projects across the state capital. The inspection tour focused on enhancing urban facilities for residents through improved pedestrian and vehicular movement systems.

Comprehensive Project Assessment Across Western Patna

The Chief Minister began his inspection at the under-construction Patliputra Park, where he thoroughly reviewed the development work and walked around the site. This recreational facility is designed to include dedicated walking paths, modern gym equipment, and specialized play areas for children, aiming to provide quality leisure spaces for city residents.

Following the park inspection, Kumar proceeded to examine three crucial road and drainage projects:

Transforming Drainage Infrastructure for Urban Beautification

At Saguna Mor, the Chief Minister conducted a detailed inspection of the underground drainage construction project. This initiative includes simultaneous widening and strengthening of roads on both sides of Nehru Path, stretching from Rupaspur Nahar to Saguna Mor. These works represent critical components of the ongoing infrastructure development in western Patna.

"The western Patna area is expanding rapidly," Kumar explained to officials during the inspection. "Currently, there are 'kutcha' drains on both sides of Nehru Path. We are transforming this into a 12-meter-wide box-cum-bridge road structure. This conversion will not only beautify this section of our capital city but also ensure smooth and easy traffic movement for all commuters."

Road Widening Initiatives for Enhanced Connectivity

The inspection continued at Gola Path near Krishna Chowk, where Kumar reviewed the widening project of the 2.20-kilometer road connecting Nehru Path to Gola Road. The Chief Minister emphasized that upon completion, this expansion would significantly facilitate easier movement toward the Danapur area, addressing long-standing connectivity challenges for local residents.

Throughout the inspection, Kumar repeatedly stressed the importance of timely project completion to officials. He directed concerned authorities to ensure all infrastructure works proceed according to schedule, enabling residents to benefit from improved facilities at the earliest possible opportunity.

High-Level Administrative Presence During Inspection

The Chief Minister was accompanied by a substantial delegation of senior officials during the comprehensive review. Notable attendees included:

  • Water Resources Department Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary
  • Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar
  • Secretaries Anupam Kumar, Kumar Ravi, and Chandrashekhar Singh
