CM Nitish Kumar to Launch Reliance's Campa Cola Bottling Plant in Begusarai
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to lay the foundation stone for Reliance Industries' Campa Cola bottling plant in Begusarai on Saturday. This significant event will occur during the third phase of his Samriddhi Yatra, highlighting a major industrial investment in the district. The plant represents a substantial boost to local economic development and employment opportunities.
Details of the Campa Cola Plant Project
The beverage unit, to be operated by EPIC Agro Products, will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs1,000 crore. It will occupy 35 acres of land at the BIADA premises in Asurari. Upon completion, the plant is expected to produce an impressive 200 million bottles annually and generate employment for over 1,500 people. This initiative underscores the growing industrial landscape in Begusarai and its potential for job creation.
Additional Government Initiatives and Inspections
Apart from the beverage plant, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inspect the under-construction state government medical college located on the same premises. He will also lay the foundation stone for 190 state government schemes worth over Rs118 crore and dedicate 212 completed projects built at a cost of Rs211.97 crore. These efforts demonstrate the government's commitment to infrastructure and public welfare in the region.
Community and Administrative Engagements
During his visit, the CM will inaugurate nine Jeevika buildings and nine Anganwadi centres from the venue. He will tour stalls set up by Jeevika didis and various government departments at the BIADA premises, showcasing local initiatives and community programs. Additionally, Nitish Kumar will hold a review meeting with senior district officials to assess the progress of ongoing development projects and welfare schemes, ensuring accountability and efficiency.
Security and Preparations for the Event
Begusarai SP Manish confirmed on Friday that all necessary security arrangements for the event have been completed. "All safety measures related to vehicle parking, traffic regulation, and crowd management have been ensured in view of the CM's visit," he stated. District magistrate Srikant Shastri also inspected the venue to guarantee the availability of basic facilities for the public. He has directed local officials to be prepared with updated progress reports from their respective departments, ensuring a smooth and organized event.
