AIADMK's Palaniswami Warns Former Minister Sengottaiyan, Criticizes Stalin on Delimitation
Palaniswami Attacks Sengottaiyan, Slams Stalin Over Delimitation Bill

AIADMK Chief Edappadi K Palaniswami Issues Stern Warning to Former Minister K A Sengottaiyan

In a fiery public address at a rally in Gobichettipalayam, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami unleashed a blistering verbal assault on his former cabinet colleague K A Sengottaiyan. This comes after Sengottaiyan had previously accused Palaniswami of "crawling like a python" to seize the chief minister's chair, sparking a heated political feud.

Palaniswami Threatens to Expose Sengottaiyan with Damning Evidence

Palaniswami did not mince words, issuing a direct warning to Sengottaiyan to mind his language or face severe repercussions. "I have ample evidence against you (Sengottaiyan). If I make it public, you will not be able to walk freely on the road," he declared, hinting at undisclosed information that could potentially damage Sengottaiyan's political career.

He further elaborated on Sengottaiyan's controversial past, revealing that when Sengottaiyan was appointed as a minister, his own wife and son had personally lodged complaints against him with the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Palaniswami quoted Jayalalithaa as saying, "Amma herself said it was a mistake to keep him in the party. She had never received such a complaint against any other member."

Regret and Accusations of Betrayal Dominate the Speech

Palaniswami expressed deep regret over his decision to accommodate Sengottaiyan in the cabinet, stating that Sengottaiyan had cried and pleaded for the position. He accused Sengottaiyan of betraying the AIADMK and its enduring legacy, labeling him as "DMK's B-team" and urging voters to outright reject his political maneuvers.

Palaniswami Shifts Focus to Criticize CM Stalin on Delimitation Issue

Later in the day, Palaniswami, commonly known as EPS, took to social media to launch another attack, this time targeting Chief Minister M K Stalin. He criticized Stalin for "blindly opposing" the delimitation bill, arguing that Tamil Nadu has lost a golden opportunity presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to gain 50% more parliamentary seats.

He explained that if the delimitation had been conducted based on the 2011 census, the state would have lost nine MP seats. However, due to what he termed as mindless opposition from the current government, the delimitation will now be based on the 2026 census, potentially resulting in even greater seat losses for Tamil Nadu. "Because of your mindless opposition, the delimitation will now be based on 2026 census, and we will lose even more seats," he emphasized in his post.

This dual-pronged attack highlights the intense political rivalries within Tamil Nadu, as Palaniswami positions himself against both internal dissent and the ruling DMK government, shaping the narrative ahead of future electoral battles.
