Officials formally wrote to the police administration in Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, and Sikar districts, urging them to ensure adequate protection for roadways and Lok Parivahan buses. This move aims to safeguard state-operated transportation services from potential disruptions or conflicts arising from the strike.
RSRTC Initiates Special Bus Services for Khatushyam Fair
To mitigate the impact on travelers, the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) launched special bus services from the Sindhi Camp bus terminal in Jaipur on Wednesday. These additional buses are specifically designated for people traveling to the Khatushyam fair, ensuring that religious and cultural events remain accessible despite the ongoing transportation challenges.
Strike to Continue as Talks Remain Stalled
Rajendra Sharma, the president of the All Rajasthan Contract Carriage Bus Operators Association, confirmed that no negotiations were held with state government officials or representatives on Wednesday. "Since no talks were conducted with officials or representatives from the state government on Wednesday, our strike will continue indefinitely," Sharma stated emphatically. The association's firm stance highlights the deepening impasse between private bus operators and the transport authorities.
