CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Slams Congress as 'Plunderers' at Jaipur Event
Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma attacks Congress on corruption

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma delivered a blistering critique of the opposition Congress party on Monday, labeling its leaders as "plunderers" and accusing the party of being deeply entrenched in corruption. The sharp remarks were made during a public address in Jaipur.

A Scathing Attack on Congress Legacy

The Chief Minister was speaking at a state-level Aarogya camp organized on the RUHS Hospital campus in Pratap Nagar. The event marked the completion of two years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state. To loud applause from the audience, Sharma declared, "They are plunderers. What will they talk to us about? They are the champions of corruption."

Sharma used the occasion to draw a direct comparison between the performance of his government's two-year tenure and the preceding five-year rule of the Congress. He asserted that the BJP administration had delivered more substantive development and governance in just two years than the Congress managed in five.

Focus on Youth and Transparent Recruitment

A key focus of his address was the issue of youth employment and government recruitment processes. The Chief Minister accused the previous Congress regime of destroying the future of young people through repeated paper leaks in recruitment exams.

In contrast, he claimed that under the BJP's watch, there has not been a single paper leak in the past two years. "Our government restored trust by ensuring transparent recruitment processes," Sharma stated. He assured the youth of Rajasthan that they are being given fair opportunities and promised that more recruitments would be carried out in the coming time.

Showcasing a 'New Rajasthan' Through Tech

Following the Aarogya camp, the Chief Minister inaugurated a state-level exhibition titled 'New Rise, New Identity — Growing Rajasthan, Our Rajasthan' at the Jawahar Kala Kendra. Here, he engaged with modern technology, clicking a digital selfie and participating in an AI-based interactive quiz.

In a demonstration of his government's push for digital governance, Sharma also reviewed the Home department's RajCop App. Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma briefed him on the application's grievance redressal mechanism. The Chief Minister appreciated the app's role in ensuring the swift resolution of public complaints, highlighting its importance in citizen-centric policing.

The day's events in Jaipur served as both a political offensive against the opposition and a showcase of the incumbent government's initiatives, particularly those aimed at the youth and leveraging technology for better governance.
