Ranchi Traffic Ban for Appointment Letter Distribution Event

The city of Ranchi will witness significant traffic disruptions on Friday as authorities implement strict vehicle restrictions for a major government event. The traffic wing has announced a 14-hour ban on large goods vehicles across the city to facilitate the smooth conduct of an official function for distribution of appointment letters.

Complete Traffic Restrictions and Timings

According to the official notification, large goods vehicles will be prohibited from entering Ranchi between 6 am and 10 pm on Friday. This extensive restriction aims to ensure hassle-free movement for attendees heading to the Morabadi ground where the appointment letter distribution ceremony will take place.

Additionally, the traffic department has specified that common vehicles will be barred on the route from SSP residence to Red Cross via late Shibu Soren's residence, state guest house, and Morabadi town outpost. Goods vehicles have been directed to use ring roads to reach their destinations without entering the city center.

Designated Parking Arrangements for Attendees

The administration has made elaborate parking arrangements for the expected large turnout from across the state. Four primary parking locations have been identified to accommodate vehicles bringing participants to the event:

  • Football ground at Ranchi College
  • Army ground in Morabadi
  • Tribal Research Institute (TRI) ground
  • DIG ground

The traffic department has clarified the specific parking assignments based on arrival routes. Vehicles approaching via Kanke ring road will be directed to Ranchi College ground, those coming from Booty More will use Army ground, and vehicles arriving through Bodeya road will be accommodated at TRI ground.

Enhanced Security and Traffic Management

Traffic SP Rakesh Singh provided details about the security measures being implemented for the event. Barricades will be erected around Morabadi ground to prevent entry of general vehicles, auto-rickshaws, and totos. The department is deploying approximately 200 traffic personnel to manage the expected congestion and ensure orderly movement.

The traffic wing has also indicated that vehicular movement might be temporarily diverted or stopped on other roads as per requirement during the event hours. Authorities have appealed to residents to avoid using four-wheelers on the marked program routes and cooperate with traffic personnel to minimize disruptions.

This large-scale traffic management plan highlights the significance of the appointment letter distribution event, which is expected to draw thousands of participants from various parts of Jharkhand. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider alternative routes during the restricted hours.
