GHAZIABAD: A rape accused, Sushil Prajapati, was given a grand welcome by supporters after his release on bail from Dasna Jail on Sunday. The celebratory roadshow, which included showering of flowers and carrying him on shoulders, led to police registering an FIR against him and 12 unidentified individuals.
Details of the Incident
Prajapati had been incarcerated for eight months in connection with a rape case. Upon his release, supporters showered him with flowers and carried him on their shoulders from the jail premises to the main road. A convoy of vehicles then accompanied him towards Muradnagar.
Based on videos received by police, an FIR was registered against Prajapati and 12 unknown persons. The complaint was filed by Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar, who stated in his complaint that Sushil was released on bail on May 17. Kumar alleged that outside the jail, Sushil Prajapati and his 10-12 associates obstructed the road, causing inconvenience to passers-by. Subsequently, they drove vehicles recklessly from the jail towards Muradnagar, endangering public lives and causing significant hardship.
