Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday sought the unwavering support, cooperation, and blessings of the people to position Telangana not merely as a gateway for the nation but to the entire world by implementing the road map laid out in the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document.
Ambitious Economic Targets
Addressing the people of Telangana from Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, the Chief Minister stated, "It is the firm resolve of this people's (Congress) government that Telangana should emerge as a one-trillion US dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047. I am confident that, with your collective support, we will successfully attain this ambitious goal."
Unique Master Plan
Stating that a single master plan encompassing an entire state may not exist anywhere in the country, the CM said the Telangana Rising 2047 document is probably the first master plan for an entire state in India. In this plan, agriculture and farmers have been given top priority, and every sector has its importance, categorised into CURE, PURE, and RARE areas.
Report Card of Congress Government
Presenting the report card of the Congress government in the last 30 months, Revanth called upon the people to become active partners in this economic growth and rededicate themselves to the development of Telangana. "For the past two and a half years, we have been working hard, taking various policy decisions and implementing action plans to fulfill the aspirations of farmers, youth, and women along with ensuring social justice and holistic development for the SC, ST, BC, minority, and economically weaker sections of the upper castes. The people's government accorded equal priority to development and welfare. Today, I can proudly say that Telangana is the only state implementing numerous welfare schemes and stands as a role model in the country," he said.
Focus on Freedom and Social Justice
The Chief Minister stated that the Congress government gave priority to the people's freedom, social justice, and equal opportunities. "We are successfully moving forward in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people within just 30 months by overcoming many hurdles."
Appeal to Farmers for Crop Diversification
On the occasion, the CM also appealed to farmers to adopt diversification of their crop production and not just depend on one or two crop varieties. Crop diversification would help transform Telangana into a land of diverse and abundant harvests. According to estimates for the 2025-26 period, Telangana achieved a record high of 2.36 crore metric tonnes of food grain production. The incentives provided by the government to farmers drew outstanding results in the production of paddy, maize, and cotton. Furthermore, the livestock and fisheries sectors have also achieved substantial growth. "The state government spent Rs 1.56 lakh crore on agriculture and farmer welfare over the past two and a half years," Revanth said.
Heatwave Shortens Speech
Due to prevailing heatwave conditions, CM Revanth cut short his speech at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. The state government also preponed the state formation day celebrations from 10 am to 8:30 pm due to severe summer heat, on the directions of the CM.
