Lucknow: BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Saturday stated that Sarojini Nagar is rapidly evolving into one of Uttar Pradesh's most significant growth centres, propelled by substantial investments in infrastructure, technology, defence manufacturing, healthcare, and urban development.
Key Projects Driving Transformation
Highlighting the region's transformation, Singh noted that projects such as the proposed State Capital Region (SCR), Aero City, AI City, Defence Industrial Corridor, and Wellness City are reshaping the economic landscape. The proposed SCR, spanning six districts, will position Sarojini Nagar as a key development node.
According to Singh, Uttar Pradesh's first AI City, with an estimated investment exceeding Rs 10,700 crore, and a BrahMos Aerospace unit worth around Rs 1,500 crore are expected to generate employment and attract high-value investments. He also cited the expansion of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, the development of an International Convention Centre, a Naval Museum, and new residential townships as major milestones.
Infrastructure and Connectivity Boost
The MLA said improved connectivity, healthcare facilities, housing projects, and industrial investments have transformed Sarojini Nagar into a hub of economic activity. He added that sports, tourism, and lifestyle infrastructure have further strengthened the constituency's profile.
