Siddaramaiah Stresses Public Support as Foundation for Chief Minister Role

Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared on Saturday that ascending to the position of chief minister is possible solely through the blessings and support of the public. He articulated that his life's unwavering mission is dedicated to empowering the impoverished and vulnerable segments of society.

Temple Ceremony Speech Highlights Spiritual and Social Views

The Chief Minister delivered these remarks during the Pratishtapana Mahotsava and Kumbhakalasha installation ceremony at the Sri Adishaktatmaka Dandimaramma Temple, located in Pillahalli village. Siddaramaiah expressed that while it is a matter of personal belief that God resides within temples, he does not oppose the faith that worship brings goodness.

"However, I hold the conviction that God is omnipresent, and I actively practice this belief," Siddaramaiah stated. He clarified that his attendance at the temple inauguration stemmed from genuine affection for the village residents, and he confidently anticipates their continued support in the future.

Reflections on Faith and Social Harmony

The Chief Minister reminisced about visiting the Dandimaramma Temple since his childhood, emphasizing that God should be remembered not only during hardships but in all life circumstances. "Though God is known by numerous names, there exists only one divine force. God resides within us and is present everywhere. What truly matters is wishing well for everyone," he elaborated.

Siddaramaiah further asserted that no religion or caste promotes hatred; instead, they all advocate for love and compassion. He highlighted the necessity of reducing social inequalities, noting that all government initiatives are strategically designed to foster equality within society.

Commitment to Economic and Social Empowerment

"Individuals from all castes, religions, and communities must attain economic and social strength. My primary objective is to empower the poor and weak in society," Siddaramaiah affirmed. He stressed that genuine social justice can only be realized when the benefits of welfare schemes effectively reach the most marginalized individuals.

The Chief Minister's speech underscored a holistic approach, blending spiritual inclusivity with a firm commitment to socio-economic upliftment through targeted governmental programs.
