Chief Minister Siddaramaiah officially inaugurated the political proceedings for the upcoming winter session of the Karnataka legislature by arriving in Belagavi on Sunday evening. The session is scheduled to commence on Monday at the iconic Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.

A Grand Welcome for the Chief Minister

The Chief Minister's helicopter landed at the helipad located near the Soudha complex. He was received by a delegation of senior ministers and local leaders, marking a significant start to the session. Senior ministers KJ George, HC Mahadevappa, and Krishna Byre Gowda were present to greet him upon arrival.

The welcome party also included Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Belagavi North MLA Asif Sait, MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, and youth leader Mrunal Hebbalkar. A substantial crowd comprising party workers, government officials, and enthusiastic supporters gathered to witness the CM's arrival, underscoring the charged political environment preceding the crucial 10-day assembly.

Pre-Session Preparations and Review

Following the reception ceremony, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inspected a guard of honour presented by the police personnel. After the formalities, he proceeded to the government guest house. There, he conducted a review of the final preparations for the session and held preliminary discussions with senior administrative officials to ensure a smooth flow of proceedings.

Agenda and Arrangements for the Session

The winter session, being held in Belagavi, is anticipated to deliberate on a host of critical matters concerning the state. The agenda is expected to feature discussions on regional development issues, administrative policies, and various welfare schemes for the people of Karnataka.

To facilitate the event, the district administration has implemented extensive security and logistical measures around the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. These steps aim to guarantee the seamless and secure conduct of the legislative business over the next ten days.
