CM Stalin Accuses AIADMK of Betrayal Over Constitutional Amendment Bill

Chief Minister M K Stalin of Tamil Nadu declared on Saturday that the constitutional amendment bill has revealed those who betrayed the state. In a video released on social media, he asserted that the AIADMK has suffered a significant blow even before the elections, stating, "It has once again been proven that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is an agent of Delhi."

Stalin Thanks Opposition Leaders for Unity Against the Bill

Stalin named every political party leader who opposed the bill and expressed gratitude for their support. He explained, "Recognizing the dangers posed by the bill, we commenced the work a year back. Leaders of opposition parties and chief ministers were united. The light that was ignited in Tamil Nadu reached Parliament. We have shown the real face of DMK."

Campaign Meeting with Tejashwi Yadav in Mettupalayam

Later in the day, the chief minister shared the stage with Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav at a campaign meeting in Mettupalayam. Yadav presented a statue of Buddha to Stalin and praised former leaders such as C N Annadurai and M Karunanidhi for setting benchmarks in politics. He noted that Tamil Nadu is being successfully governed on the principles of social justice.

Criticism of Union Government Over Coimbatore Metro Project

Stalin criticized the Union government for not sanctioning a metro rail project for Coimbatore. He questioned, "How can they come and ask for votes here after denying the industrial city a metro while smaller northern towns received such projects?" He emphasized that the Dravidian government 2.0 would expand public transport facilities to address this issue.

Focus on Women's Empowerment and Education

The chief minister highlighted women's empowerment as a key priority, mentioning schemes such as Pudhumai Pen that prioritize education for women. He stressed that these initiatives are part of the broader vision for social justice and development in Tamil Nadu under his administration.
