The deceased has been identified as Poonam Tayade, who had been residing with her mother and brother at her parental home for several months after separating from her husband. According to police reports, her brother had left for work on Friday morning. When he returned briefly to collect his mobile charger, he made the horrifying discovery of Poonam and her young son, Shivai, hanging inside the house.
Background of Marital Struggles
Poonam had married Karan Shah, an Ahmedabad resident, five years ago in what was described as a love marriage. Shah reportedly worked at a cloth shop. Over time, significant marital disputes emerged between the couple. Family members allege that during her pregnancy, Poonam was sent to her parental home and did not receive proper care from her husband's family.
The couple eventually separated, after which Poonam allegedly faced mounting emotional turmoil and severe financial difficulties. Her mother, Usha, has made serious allegations, claiming that Poonam endured harassment from her in-laws and that her husband frequently cited financial problems while pressuring her for divorce.
