The Telangana government has called for an all-party meeting to gather suggestions on identifying and honoring statehood activists for their contributions and sacrifices. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the secretariat on June 4.
Political Parties Invited
Political parties have been requested to send two representatives each from the Congress, BRS, BJP, AIMIM, CPM, AAP, BSP, TDP, YSRCP, and National People’s Party. The government has constituted a committee led by government advisor K Keshava Rao to identify the Telangana udyamakarulu (statehood activists). This committee will conduct the meeting and coordinate the process.
Background and Objective
The initiative aims to recognize the efforts of those who fought for the creation of Telangana state. The all-party meeting is expected to provide a platform for diverse opinions and ensure a comprehensive approach to honoring the activists. The committee head, K Keshava Rao, will oversee the discussions and compile recommendations.
