Telangana CM Revanth Reddy asks whips to resolve public issues

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed the government whips to remain constantly among the people and actively work towards resolving their grievances, take welfare programmes and the development agenda of the government to the doorsteps of voters, and counter the opposition allegations effectively.

CM Revanth held a meeting with the whips of the Assembly and Council at the MCRHRD Institute and said they were the eyes and ears of the government. He suggested that they alert the local district administration to ensure that public issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Emphasis on grassroots outreach

The Chief Minister emphasised the need to take government welfare schemes down to the grassroots level and to instil confidence in the public that the government is committed to resolving their issues promptly. He advised them to utilise various media channels to effectively disseminate information regarding government schemes to the people.

Directives for issue resolution

The Chief Minister instructed the whips to not only resolve public issues at their level but also to bring significant matters to his personal attention on a regular basis. The whips brought various public issues prevailing in the state to the notice of the CM. They apprised him of the measures being taken to address drinking water and irrigation needs in their respective constituencies during the current summer season, as well as the progress made in grain procurement.

Responding to this, the Chief Minister issued directives to further accelerate the grain procurement process and to take necessary steps to resolve any associated issues. The CM assured that he would be available to the whips one day a week to coordinate with them and to personally address public issues.
