In a sharp rebuke, Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has criticized Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for targeting the Congress government in Telangana. Reddy accused Vijayan of seeking political advantage ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala, labeling the comments as misleading and unfounded.

Defending Congress Government's Actions

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy asserted that the Congress party and its government have consistently prioritized the welfare of the poor. "The Congress government remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting government lands, which are vital assets for future generations," he stated. He emphasized that all actions are conducted in strict adherence to rules and regulations, dismissing allegations of a 'Bulldozer Raj' as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.

Commitment to Housing Justice for the Poor

Reddy highlighted the government's dedication to the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme, ensuring justice for every eligible poor beneficiary. He addressed a specific incident in Khammam district's Velugumatla village, where land mafia allegedly sold bhoodan land using fraudulent documents to innocent buyers. "The poor affected by the demolition of houses will be provided with proper housing under our scheme," he assured.

The minister announced that the government will take stringent action against the involved land mafia to secure refunds for the affected individuals. "We are committed to ensuring that the money collected through these illegal transactions is returned to the people," Reddy declared, reinforcing the administration's resolve to uphold transparency and justice in land matters.
