In a significant meeting that underscores growing inter-state collaboration, Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada on Friday. The high-level discussion, held at the Chief Minister's camp office, lasted for approximately 90 minutes and centered on future cooperation and a major upcoming event.
Formal Invitation for the Global Summit
The primary agenda of the meeting was the extension of a formal invitation. Minister Venkat Reddy invited Chief Minister Naidu to the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 on behalf of the Telangana state government. This prestigious summit is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on December 8 and 9, 2025. Reddy elaborated that the summit is being organized on the lines of the renowned Davos Economic Forum and will see participation from global and domestic industrial leaders and experts.
Acknowledging Legacy and Strengthening Ties
The cordial meeting was marked by mutual respect and recognition of past contributions. Chief Minister Naidu congratulated Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for his impressive political achievement of winning as an MLA six consecutive times. As a gesture of goodwill, Naidu presented the Telangana Minister with Araku coffee and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara.
Speaking to the press afterward, Minister Reddy was effusive in his praise for Naidu's foresight. He directly credited the creation and success of Cyberabad to the Vision 2020 plan conceptualized by Naidu during his earlier tenure. "At that time, many people did not understand Naidu's vision, but now it has become a reality," Reddy stated, acknowledging the foundational role Naidu played in Hyderabad's tech boom.
Path Forward for Telugu States
Venkat Reddy expressed a strong desire for both Telugu-speaking states to prosper together. He noted that Andhra Pradesh is developing rapidly under Naidu's current leadership. Highlighting specific projects, he pointed out that initiatives like the upcoming Machilipatnam port would be mutually beneficial, accelerating economic growth for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by enhancing regional connectivity and trade.
This meeting signals a positive step towards collaborative federalism between the two states, with shared history and economic interests paving the way for future partnerships on large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
