Timeline of the Tragic Incident

According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, the accident occurred around 1:15 AM on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The victims' car was traveling from Hanumangarh Road and descending the bridge toward Roti Chowk when the driver allegedly lost control at high speed.

An eyewitness described the scene: "The car was speeding while descending the bridge. The driver lost control, and the vehicle collided with the intersection with tremendous force. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely crushed, and the intersection itself was damaged."

The witness further reported that two young men died instantly at the scene, while three others remained trapped inside the wreckage, groaning in pain. Passersby extracted the victims from the vehicle and transported them to Abohar Civil Hospital.

Community Impact and Ongoing Investigation

This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly in Baluana village where all victims resided. The young men were known to be involved in the agricultural sector, specifically kinnow harvesting, which is a significant economic activity in the region.

While initial reports suggest speeding as the primary cause, authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and speeding vehicles, particularly during late-night hours when visibility and response times may be compromised.
