According to police reports, the trio had traveled to Rae Bareli to purchase essential items for the tilak ceremony of Sandeep's younger sister, Kajal, which was planned for Thursday. After completing their shopping around 9 PM, the three men enjoyed dinner at a local hotel before embarking on their return journey in an Indigo car.
Tragedy struck at approximately 11:10 PM near Fatehpur Mohaliya on the busy Lucknow–Prayagraj highway. Eyewitnesses described the vehicle as speeding uncontrollably before it reportedly lost control, violently colliding with a roadside tree and subsequently plunging into a deep ditch.
The impact of the crash was described as devastatingly severe, with the car becoming completely mangled and its doors ripped apart from the force. Emergency responders worked quickly to extract the three occupants from the wreckage.
